Just Add graffiti and street art projects, parties and workshops give participants the opportunity to have fun, learn and be creative using spray cans, pens, paints, stencils and a wide range of other materials. We use letter styles, characters and colours to create designs onto T-shirts, small and large boards, walls and canvases.
Graffiti workshops can be delivered during the school day, as PPA or part of a themed week, or in an afterschool club.
Participants will learn about how to develop their ideas using a range of techniques and media.
Our creative practitioners are professional graffiti artists who exhibit work and produce artwork for magazines, stage, film and the music industry. All our creative practitioners are also experienced at group workshops/lessons from birthdays and taster sessions, to large scale public murals.
We have lots of experience working with challenging and disaffected young people who respond to the opportunity to express themselves through urban art.
Just Add’s graffiti and street art workshops aim to change negative attitudes towards graffiti art and do not encourage or condone illegal graffiti or vandalism of any kind.
Stencil graffiti art
Stencil graffiti art makes use of stencils cut from acetate, card or other materials to create images or text that are easily reproduced. These images can then be applied using spray paint or other paints onto boards, T-shirts, walls, canvases and any number of other surfaces. Layering stencils can be used to add colour to images or to create a 3D effect.
Graffiti murals
Graffiti murals are a great way to produce a one off piece of art, they can involve highly stylised letter forms drawn using multi-coloured paint pens or markers, or unique spray paint murals on boards, walls, buildings, or any other surface indoors or out.
Pieces can be produced to any size from one 2.4m x 1.2m plywood board to any number of boards joined together, these can then be wall mounted.
Graffiti + Street Art Projects
Street Arts Jam
Street Arts Jam is a project that gives participants taster sessions from a selection of street art forms including rapping, beat box, graffiti art, breakdancing and DJ’ing.
The taster sessions are suitable for beginners and budding artists, performers and DJs.
The project is ideal as part of a school’s themed week or community engagement event.
Rapping / Beat box / Graffiti art / Pop art collage / T-shirt design / Breakdancing / DJ’ing
Each artist will run hour long sessions (session can be arranged around your timetable) and each group of participants will take part in all the activities during the course of the day/s or week.
Our experienced artists will tailor the sessions to the age, experience and skill of participants.
The aim of the sessions is for everyone to have fun and be creative in a street party atmosphere.
