CORPORATE EVENTS
Our corporate events are bespoke and can be customised to suit your conferences, promotional events, stress management, ice-breaker, event closers or just corporate entertainment! At Just Add we believe everyone can create art – confidence is built by breaking down the barrier “I am not artistic or I don’t have rhythm”. Our corporate creative art workshops will help participants build confidence through music and collaboration.
Whether you are looking to impress clients/participants, raise your company profile or energise your staff, hosting a corporate event is one of the best ways to improve your productivity or reach out to customers old and new. To leave a lasting impression you might want to consider coming up with a new theme for your next corporate event.
Each of our clients is unique, and our solutions for you will be unique as well. We work within your budget to deliver a corporate event that is creative, entertaining and above all memorable.
Kite Making
Kite making will test your creativity and construction skills. You will be provided with plans and all the materials needed to build a variety of kite types from traditional to box kites and more.
This activity is excellent to develop team work and participants will collaborate to design and construct their kites. The finished kites will be judged for their design, workmanship and of course how well they fly!
Calendar Creation
Creating a calendar for your business or organisation can be done in a number of ways, it can feature products, company values, a new building you wish to showcase or just something nice to have on a desk or wall. Teams will be given a variety of materials with which to make their calendars or they could be given costumes and props.
Participants will have to think carefully about the key messages they want to include in their calendar – it will, after all, be on the wall all year!
Masterpiece
This is an activity where teams will each create their own masterpiece or work of art. Before your event, we will discuss your key messages and objectives and the materials and or techniques you would like to use. Sessions can be based on a number of creative methods like collage, painting, printing or using fabrics. Then on the day, each team is given the materials with which to create their work of art. Teams can also be given a theme or design brief that they must work to.
Street Art
Street art gives you the chance to be creative with words, images, text and colour, creating images free hand or using stencils like Banksy.
Stencil Graffiti
Stencils make use of paper, cardboard, or other media to create an image or text that is easily reproducible. The desired design is cut out of the selected medium and then the image is transferred to a surface through the use of spray paint or roll-on paint. Sometimes multiple layers of stencils are used on the same image to add colours or create the illusion of depth.
Stencils can be applied to t-shirts or canvases. Before your event we will discuss key messages, slogans etc. that we will use to create bespoke stencils for your event. On the day, participants will use these and a variety of other stencils and techniques to create individual images or a group image. Teams can also be given a theme or design brief that they must work to.
Graffiti and Wall Murals
Creating unique masterpieces is the aim of all graffiti artists; our session aims to give participants the chance to experience this thrill. Pieces can be produced to any size from one 8 x 4 foot (2.4 x 1.2m) plywood board to any number of boards joined together, which can then be wall mounted. Pieces can also be painted directly onto walls, building’s shutters etc.
This activity is extremely flexible and can take different forms, which version you choose depends on your expected outcomes. Make it a team building activity by having colleagues work as a team and give them a brief for what the message in their image should be. Alternatively, give participants free reign over what they create for an inspiring and relaxing session.
Whichever way you choose, however, it is a truly innovative form of expression that will get the creative juices of all participants flowing!
Finding Rhythm Together: African and Latin percussion sessions
Finding Rhythm Together are workshops run by accomplished, professional African and Latin percussionists. They are a fantastic opportunity for anyone interested in African or Latin drumming and are available to beginner, intermediate and proficient drummers. Drumming is a very inclusive form of music that anyone can have a go at. During the workshop, participants learn how to match the rhythms they produce with those of others. This is an excellent way to develop listening skills, teamwork and creativity as well as improving rhythm and co-ordination. All are encouraged to put their own compositions together for the grand finale where participants can experience how their own work interacts with others to produce an even bigger and better sound.
African Drumming
These workshops are dedicated to West African drumming rhythms and percussion music from Senegal, Gambia, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Mali, Guinea and particularly rhythms associated with Djembe, Sabar and talking drums.
Latin Drumming
Participants can learn traditional Brazilian instruments and will have a chance to work with a variety of Latin instruments such as pandeiru, ganza, surdo, agogo, tamborim, cuica and berimbau.
Drumming is an accessible activity to all members of the community, including those who are often excluded due to physical or mental health difficulties.
The Choir
Team building and singing are one and the same. Singing in a choir is about different types of people all pulling in one direction – harnessing individual skills and collective strength in pursuit of a common goal. Of course, how we go about it is really up to you – whether we come in for a short event or a full development programme. It could even be totally bespoke – your very own mix of teamwork and training.
The day is all about you and your people, and what you want to achieve. So we’ll tailor your day, or half day to meet your objectives – not ours!
Maybe you’re re-enforcing company values, or initiating change? Whatever your goals, we’ll build the day around your central message, so there’s more than smiles and camaraderie to show for your time with us.
